We are thrilled to tell you about this beautiful, 4 bedroom home on Kiawah Island!  Located in the exclusive Vanderhorst gated community of the Kiawah Island Golf Resort, this recently renovated, cedar-plank home features a private saltwater pool and scenic wooded views of the maritime forests surrounding the home.  Situated on a quiet cul-de-sac, this home is just a short walk or bike ride over to the beach boardwalk which leads out to ten miles of pristine sandy beach along the Atlantic Ocean.

Entering the main level of the home, you'll be impressed by the open floor-living room, which is highlighted by tray ceiling, white beadboard wainscoting, and hardwood floors throughout.  The massive windows allow in an abundance of natural light.  This main living room area has comfortable, modern furnishing which face the 55" plasma television and fireplace with built-in shelving.  Between this area and the kitchen, you'll find a large wooden dining table with seating for 8 guests.  Just off this area are glass doors that lead onto the expansive rear sundeck.

Moving into the renovated kitchen area, you'll appreciate the upgraded cabinetry, granite countertops, stylish backsplash, stainless steel appliances, and large pantry area, all which add to the contemporary feel of the area.  The large central island provides a great spot for prepping meals & entertaining, and it boasts four additional stools for seating at the breakfast bar.  From the kitchen area, you can access the lovely screened porch area.

Three of the four bedrooms can found on the first floor of the home (one king, one queen, and one full bed + bunk bed).  Each  of these rooms have their own private bathrooms, closet space and televisions.  The queen bedroom also has direct access to the pool deck.

There is a half bathroom off the main living area and a spacious laundry/mudroom with full washer/dryer unit and a utility sink on the first floor for your convenience.

Moving to the second level of the home, you'll find the generous master suite, which enjoys the privacy of it's own floor! It boasts a king bed, walk-in closet, TV and a private balcony overlooking the pool.  It has a spacious en-suite bathroom with dual vanity sinks and custom walk-in shower with built-in bench.

Perhaps the most exciting part of the home, however, is the outside back deck area.  Spend your days taking a swim in the large saltwater pool or relaxing in the teak lounge chairs on the renovated ipe pool deck with cable railing.  Imagine yourself  enjoying a cup of coffee while taking in Kiawah's unique wildlife or reminiscing over late night card games with friends and family on the cozy screened porch.

Our family had a wonderful time. Very clean, beds were comfortable just perfect for our family. I rated it good only because the sliding doors and back door were hard to close. SweetGrass properties were very responsive and good to work with.

We enjoyed our time at 149 Treeduck Court. The pool was wonderful and the layout and kitchen were great for our extended family to each have their own space. The area was so quiet and peaceful. Everything about Kiawah is beautiful! We will say however that many things about the house were a bit run down and in need of some attention. The downstairs master bathroom wasn’t very clean and the carpets were quite stained. The main living area was clean and comfortable. The front outdoor space was a bit overgrown and there was trash laying around the trash cans. With a little TLC, this could be a 5 star home again. Thanks for a nice stay.

We enjoyed our stay in this home very much, spotlessly clean, a great kitchen open to the living room, and all bedrooms were spacious with en suite bathrooms. Large closets with shelving were also helpful to keep everyone organized. Quiet setting surrounded by trees, we loved it!

We loved our stay at Treeduck Court! There was plenty of room for 8 adults and a baby, with comfortable gathering space and a well-equipped kitchen. The screened-in porch was a great spot to hang out as well. The views out the back door over the pool are amazing, like you're deep in a tropical forest! We only had one issue with a bed, which received prompt attention from Sweetgrass in spite of being the week of Thanksgiving. I was impressed by their efforts. Our family will return to this house in the future for sure!

We were amazed with the accommodations! A close walk to the beach was a bonus along with nature at your doorstep! The odd hoot from a resident owl or the crack of a twig as a deer walked through the backyard bushes made you appreciate nature even more. We’ll definitely be back!

The home is beautiful and we loved the pool. The main issue is that it is a long way from the beach. I'd say it took us at least 12-15 minutes to walk there. If you can load your gear on a bike, it's not too bad. We had 4 kids so the distance really mattered.

Close to beach, clean and well stocked for a vacation rental. Communication from Sweetgrass and the owner was timely. Early check in option was selected. Saltwater pool was very popular with our family. Would not hesitate to stay again.

This vacation home was a perfect fit for our family. Plenty of room to spread out & a wonderful living area to mingle. Each bedroom has it’s own en-suite bathroom & the extra spacious master upstairs in beautiful. The private pool is a wonderful perk as well. This home if fully equipped…plenty of beach towels, a cabinet full of games & puzzles & the kitchen has multiple of everything you could possibly need. It is also situated on a quiet, wooded, serene culdesac. Perfect for R&R and island fun! I would highly recommend renting beach cruisers from Alligator Bikes. They were fabulous & you receive a 10% discount with this rental. This was a perfect family vacation & we will certainly be back to 149 Treeduck!

What a perfect home for a relaxing & fun Kiawah vacation. The location is peaceful & serene. The rooms are large, beds comfortable & every room has it’s own en suite bathroom!!! From the cabinet full of games to every detail well thought out in the kitchen, everything you need is right here. The large, open floor plan in the living/kitchen area that leads to the pool area is perfect for spreading out & relaxing! This home is fully equipped with everything! We will certainly be back!

What an amazing trip to Kiawah and 149 Treeduck! The house was impeccably clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you could possibly need. Our two families had plenty of room to spread out, and the kids had a blast in the heated pool. Would definitely like to return soon!

We absolutely loved our stay at 149 Treeduck Court: the house is modern, light and airy, with ample room but also privacy. The pool area is serene and inviting beneath tree canopy and dappled sunlight: perfect for relaxing with a book or a swim after a day at the beach or touring. Minor house service issues were swiftly addressed by Sweetgrass Properties. Some suggestions: Consider basic handlebars in the Queen bedroom shower and at the pool for folks with limited mobility. Also, the dining room carpet curls up in places and is a potential hazard for stumbling or tripping. All in all, I'd stay at Treeduck again in a heartbeart...it's a terrific house for small group families or friends.

Our vacation in this home was nice. The inside of the home was nice and accommodated our large family. The outside space needs a lot of TLC. The pool was nice and clean. The deck and wooden lounge chairs need a strong power wash. There were spider webs all over the decking and house. The screen on the outside porch is separating from the frame-so lots of bugs getting in. The flooring on the master patio is peeling and old. There are no pads for the outside wooden lounge chairs-so they are very uncomfortable. I feel like the inside of the home has been updated and maintained, but the outside space is very neglected.

Thanks for your review, Pam! That's very helpful. We are working on some updates for the outdoor areas, so that will be coming very soon! We do actually clean for spiders, etc. but here in the south they can pop back up in just a day or so! But we have someone going over to take a look at the screen, and to see what we can do about sprucing up the patio area! We want all of our guests to enjoy their stay and to have a great experience.  We really appreciate the feedback, and please know our team is actively working to address it!

This house was a wonderful stay for my family of 7. It was a short bike ride or walk to the beach. The pool is refreshing to come back to after a long day on the beach. The kitchen was well stocked and the bathrooms are all nicely redone. The beds were comfortable. I can’t think of one thing we lacked. Will return. Wonderful stay.

We had a great time at this property. The house arrangement was perfect for our family. The heated pool was the favorite place for our little grandchildren to play - after bikes, playground and beach. One note - corner of rug under dining table is dangerous causing tripping. Also, upstairs in bathroom - vanity stool is missing some screws that makes it unstable to sit. Gorgeous, updated kitchen. Living room, dining room and kitchen open concept is fantastic! Plenty of bedrooms on the main floor and all have their own nice bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom is large and beautiful with its own deck. Also has a large room that you can see through the downstairs glass windows

My family so enjoyed celebrating my birthday here! Everything was perfect. Gorgeous home with an open floor plan that easily accommodated 9 of us. Great for entertaining. The bedrooms are large and the beds were so comfortable. Will definitely come back when it’s warmer to enjoy the pool. Quiet and beautiful surroundings. Close walk to the beach. Just lovely.

This house is such a gem in a quiet cul de sac on Kiawah Island! I have visited Kiawah/Seabrook on and off for the past 30 years and this house is in such a great location. Super easy scenic walk to the beach. Close drive to nearby restaurants and golf courses. The house has a great layout to accommodate multiple families and children. Love the private pool for an early morning swim or evening entertainment! This house is a must stay for all.

My family had never been to Kiawah Island before and this was a enjoyable experience. The house layout was great, especially with the en- suite bathrooms for all bedrooms. There was enough seating for a full house with the open layout and large dining table. The kitchen was well-stocked for the multiple nights of in-home prepared meals we had.The beach is about a 10-minute walk, but after you do it once, it doesn't seem that long. The pool makes for a nice time if you don't want to go to the beach or as evening chill-time.This house is located on a quiet street and is far enough away from the golf-resort to avoid the traffic and people congestion but close enough with a quick bike ride. Overall, enjoyed our stay on Kiawah Island.

Perfect place to ride bikes (flat) and walk. The pool is great just open door from great room and there you are. Around 10 minutes walk to a wonderful beach with soft sand. Loved having everything on one floor. Looking forward to a return.

Great house, very clean, well laid out floor plan for family and grandparents. Kitchen was well stocked for meals we ate in and large dining table sat everyone at one time and was great for game nights. Rooms are very spacious with closet space and each has its own bath for privacy. Pool was a hit with everyone for cooling off and playing each evening! Beach walk is short and one a nice path, easy bike ride or walk of 7-10 minutes even with kids. Quiet culdesac was very nice. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back!

The house was perfect for our family. Plenty of room, everything you need and the pool was great. Only a 7-10 minute walk to the beach. Sweetgrass properties was fantastic. They quickly responded to all of our requests and answered our questions. I highly recommend renting a property from them.
