Welcome to 5540 Turtle Cove Villas. New to our rental program, this second floor vacation rental on Kiawah Island is renovated and perfect for any small group of travelers.

Centrally located on Kiawah Island, this villa offers the perfect location for guests to enjoy a short walk to the beach, close proximity to the Sanctuary and Night Heron Park, and only a short drive from some great restaurants and other amenities that the surrounding areas have to offer!

Upon entering the villa, you are greeted with coastal hues and an open floorplan. The living room has simple modern furnishings and is perfect to unwind after a long beach day.. Located just off of the living room through the sliding doors, the screened in porch allows the guest to take in the beautiful sights and sounds that the island has to offer. Sit back and enjoy the lagoon views. You'll be sure to spot an alligator or two.

The dining area, which allows for comfortable seating for four, is only steps away from the open kitchen area. With granite countertops and updated appliances, this kitchen is great to whip up a delicious meal.

The master bedroom, which offers a king bed, flat-screen Smart TV, private access to the screened-in back porch, and an ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom contains two full size beds with a flat-screen Smart TV, and a semi-private bathroom that also accesses the hall.

    We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here in Turtle Cove. The condo was very clean ,and had a nice supply of bath towels. The towels were of nice quality. We loved sitting on the screened-in porch towards sunset. . The property management team was very responsive with our only question about the WiFi . We would recommend both this condo & this property management company.

    The unit was comfortably furnished and the lagoon view was beautiful. The location is great and provides easy access to the beach, restaurants and shopping. Though the inside of the unit was spotless, the entry was covered in spider webs and other litter.

    We stayed 3 nights for a wedding. We walked to the beach and enjoyed seeing alligators at safe distances and turtles and sea birds. Easy to drive around Kiawah sights and shops. The screened in porch and comfortable bed were highlights. Nice to have extra closet and bathroom to get ready to attend events.highly recommend.

    We had a great time! Space was a tad cramped for 6 but we knew that going in and it was still doable. There were no lights leading up to the door at night but I’m not sure if Sweetgrass is actually responsible for that or not. The dryer took forever to dry our clothes but we only had one load so it wasn’t a huge deal. The view was gorgeous and we loved eating out on the back patio. We got rained in a bit but the walks we did get to make to the beach were not bad at all and it was very simple/easy because we were given a map. We loved Kiawah and any communications with the rental company were quick and so helpful. Highly recommend! (Just maybe only put kids or people ok with squishing or jumping over one another in the room with two beds lol)

    We stayed the Week of April 13. Since our stay last year, we noticed several upgrades. There are now beautiful hardwood floors instead of carpeting. We loved that nice new big couch. As always the villas was clean when we arrived. Thank you for a great week!

    What a gorgeous & beautifully appointed property in a perfect location! Close to amenities & beach with a stunning lagoon view from the cozy screened porch. Lovely condo with beautifully designed spaces. Every thoughtful amenity made us feel like a home away from home! Excellent customer service from the Sweetgrass folks. Entire process to reserve & complete a wonderful vacation was exceptional with professional & friendly staff. Many thanks for the best vacation ever!!

    The villa was situated on the most beautiful view that we could have at Kiawah. Everyday we watched the alligator(s), the birds and even deer. The home was perfect for the four of us and we commented every day how lucky we were to find this place. Would definitely ask for 5540 Turtle Cove again.

    We enjoyed our stay at this clean, comfortable, and quiet condo. This is our 8th rental on the island and this was by far the quietest place we’ve stayed. This condo has been renovated and has all the modern amenities to make your stay comfortable. It was renovated in 2010 but it looks as if it were renovated last year. Love the granite counter tops in the kitchen and the dining areas. Would definitely recommended this condo!

    We have our own villa on Kiawah and have been renting 2 or 3 times a year for family visits We have been very happy with Sweetgrass rentals. One improvement we'd like to see would be to provide adequate disposables.... the amount of paper towels and dishwashing detergents is not nearly adequate for a 1 week stay. Also, beach towels should be included in the rental fee... should not be an optional add on. Both of these issues create inconvenience for guests and it compromises the quality of the service provided and is not justified in light of the cost of the rental.<br /><br />MANAGER'S RESPONSE: Hey Greg! Thanks so much for the wonderful rating and review! We're so glad you enjoyed. We provide a "starter kit" for all of our guests to help them get through the first couple of days in regard to paper products and detergents. We try to provide very clear information prior to arrival on what we provide and what we recommend bringing or buying! But thank you so very much for the feedback. It's very helpful for us!

    Very nice living arrangement. Dining area small. We ate out on screened porch. Screened in porch a delight. Unfortunately, some lights didn't work and there was some need for some upgrading which was done while we were there. Realty company did not supply any Kiawah Maps or other information upon arrival as other realty companies provide.

    Beautifully updated villa, warm colors throughout, very comfortable...makes you feel at home. Very good location, close to the beach and tennis courts. We had one problem with our bathroom which was addressed within several hours of calling. Thank you owners for a wonderful week!

    Thank you so much for having us at your home. Our stay was exceptional. One other person had mentioned that there was a limit of pots and pans- however, we were able to cook all week comfortably with a wide variety of pots and pans which made everything so easy. The beds were extremely comfortable. The condo was so clean. We appreciate the care!

    We usually stay in West beach and close to the beach but we loved our condo and loved the walk to and from the beach. We will revisit this condo again- we loved everything about it. Also thank you to all at Sweetgrass who accommodated us in every way and we’re so kind and courteous about all our needs. Thank you so much! My husband was stricken with lung cancer in November of 2019 and between his illness and Covid 19 this was our first trip and it was beautiful in every way. Kiawah Island is our favorite place to be.

    The villa was tastefully decorated and very comfortable. We loved the location and spent most of our time viewing wildlife, walking, and biking. The villa had plenty of glassware and dishes, but is in need of new pots, pans, and skillets. Cooking utensils should also be supplemented.

    First of all, we know the owners of this property, and we know how meticulous they are about having everything in first-class condition. We really enjoyed our week on Kiawha. It was so relaxing, and we hated to leave. We loved the path from the condo to the beach as much as the beach itself. The condo was beautifully decorated with the ambiance of the area. We found that everything we needed was provided.

    We had a wonderful week at 5540 Turtle Cove. We've never been to Kiawah this late in the season. Even though there weren't as many people and that many of the stores weren't opened at FreshFields, it was exactly the change of scenery we needed.

    Would recommend any property Sweetgrass offers.

    Sweetgrass Properties made booking our stay very easy! Someone was always available when we needed them leading up to our stay. They reminded us of deposits due and gave us clear instructions for our arrival and check-in. We arrived to a wonderful welcome note and gift which was much appreciated! Even some sweet treats for our little ones! We had some smoke detector issues while we were there and the team responded promptly to come help us get them fixed. We certainly will consider Sweetgrass Properties for our next stay!

    We didn’t personally speak with anyone, but had clear correspondence through email which kept us up to date on the arrival and checkout process. It was very easy. Beautiful villa. It was exactly as the photos showed. The design of the villa was very tastefully done. It was clean, comfortable, and supplied all of the amenities we needed. Very peaceful property.
