Welcome to 106 Inlet Cove!

Located on the west end of Kiawah Island, between the beach and the Kiawah River, the gated community of Inlet Cove is a perfect family vacation destination. Enjoy dolphin-watching and birding while kayaking in the beautiful Kiawah river and its marshes. Lounge at the community pool, and watch glorious sunsets over the marsh from the community dock. Walk to the end of Capt. Sam’s Spit, along the undeveloped, natural beach, to watch dolphins strand-feed at low tide. This is truly a wonderful place to relax and rejuvenate.

Beachwalker Park, and the adjoining dog beach, are a scenic 8-minute walk from the cottage. We provide beach chairs and a cart to make getting there easy. The community pool and dock are about a 6-minute walk. On the dock you can enjoy shrimping, crabbing, and fishing, or head out into the river via the kayak launch and paddle-board landing.

For first-timers, or if you are new to kayaking in the Kiawah River, we recommend first taking a guided tour at Mingo Point, just one mile away. Learn about the tide cycles and currents, and how to navigate in the marshes. The naturalists will give you a fascinating understanding of all that is going on in the marsh! You can rent kayaks locally on the island.

Kiawah also offers five championship golf courses, two tennis centers, parks, and an educational Nature Center. Inlet Cove is just 2 miles from the restaurants, boutique shopping, and grocery store at Freshfield’s Village.

When at home, the large, open living and dining area with comfortable furnishings will make it easy to relax. Enjoy WiFi, or watch upgraded Comcast TV, and streaming Blu-ray player on the large smart TV. Better yet, head out onto the lovely screened-in back porch to watch the deer and other wildlife foraging in the backyard. The breeze and the bird songs are so soothing! At night, you can even hear the ocean!

There are 3 bedrooms and 2 baths in this cottage. The master bedroom, with a queen-sized bed, has views of the lush woods, and catches the morning sun. Enjoy a private bathroom and flat screen TV with DVD player. The second and third bedrooms each have two twin beds, share a bathroom, and include TVs.

The eat-in kitchen, the comfy vintage swivel chairs invite people to hang out and have fun before, during, and after meals. The kitchen is fully equipped, including both a drip coffee maker and a Keurig, nice cookware, food processor, and grilling utensils. There is a gas grill conveniently located under the house, with propane provided.

We were only there for 2 of the 7 nights due to the storm that hit Charleston. The house was nice and in a great location. We really didn't get a chance to do or see much. We left since they were calling for over 20 inches of rain. The beach was super close and we would have loved the access to the Kiawah River had the weather permitted. We will hopefully get the chance to go back at some point.

Inlet Cove is a wonderful neighborhood. You have a nice pool, close access to the beach, dock access and close proximity to the Freshfields village. You also get the benefit of accessing the entire remainder of the island on the wonderful bike paths. The house itself is decent. Some things had been updated since the last time we stayed there a few years ago, but there are also some things that could be addressed. There were quite a few stains on the carpet, the water-dispenser on the refrigerator didn't work well and the kitchen faucet seemed loose. Overall, a great location and a decent place to stay. Not fully or recently renovated, but still in mostly good condition.

Contactless easy check-in/check-out process. We really appreciated Sweetgrass property mgmt's personal touch which included extra information to help us navigate the local area. My family was especially happy about the property's quick path to the beach (close to the dolphins)/Kiawah property restaurants and short drive to nearby Harris Teeter for meals/meal prep. Quiet evenings (front exterior porch or enclosed private sunroom). The washer and dryer was a nice feature post beach bike rides and morning run. Very clean!! but the property may have been closed for a few days based on initial scent. We opened windows for a few hours, utilized a few favorite scented sprays and in no time between the smell of homecook meals and Tide inspired laundry the stale smell was history. Note, there were beach toys (chairs, kayaks, life vests, bikes). Re: bikes, we opted for the reasonable bike rental (the Kiawah Sanctuary hotel because the bikes on the property were locked. Bonus: There were towels and complimentary sample Sweetgrass personal toiletries/coffee. Date of arrival - December 27, 2021

Second time staying at the this great villa at Kiawah Island! Very comfortable and clean, well appointed, and terrific location...close to beach access and Freshfields shopping center. Quiet neighborhood and loved the beautiful screened in porch. Absolutely love dealing with Sweetgrass property management too...easy as pie!!

We loved our stay at Inlet Cove #106. We biked to and from the beach, pool, and Freshfields. We enjoyed the kayaks and sunsets from the dock. The house had everything we needed and 4 twin beds worked perfectly for our family. We love Inlet Cove and Kiawah. This was our 6th year and we are already planning our next trip!

Great house, ideal location and was very comfortable or our family! The management team were extremely responsive when the cable needed repaired. My only feedback would be to not advertise that there is a kayak available for use. The life jackets (can understand that) and the paddles (kinda important) were in the owners locker, and we couldn't access.

Perfect place for couple or family. Kitchen has everything you need. Comfortable queen size bed along with twin beds. You can enjoy the beach and the Kiawah River. Looking forward to coming back next year!

Had a wonderful stay in this house which was in excellent condition. Staff and maintenance were outstanding. The location is quiet and it's a lovely walk to the beach nearby.

Property is as advertised. The kitchen is well stocked with necessary items. Very nice to have the bikes and kayaks available and the location is very convenient to the beach and river as well as the stores. Staff were very friendly and quick to respond to emails. Will definitely use Sweetgrass again
