Entering the home on the main first level, you’ll notice an abundance of natural light and a thoughtfully designed lay-out. From the pool table and wet bar in the billiards room to the large sectional sofa and 60” smart TV in the living room, this home is perfect for entertaining and accommodating large groups. The fully stocked kitchen boasts new appliances, a gas range, and plenty of prep space. There is a new dining table that seats six as well as four counter-height stools at the kitchen bar. For added convenience, there is a laundry room with full-size washer and dryer and a half-bath on the first floor.

With five bedrooms and four & half baths, this home comfortably accommodates up to 12 guests, making it ideal for a family reunion or a gathering of friends. There are 4 bedrooms on the second level of the home (king, king, queen, queen), including the primary suite. The primary bedroom suite features a large master closet with private entry/exit, a desk, deck access, a 60” smart TV, and private bathroom with split vanities, a jetted tub, and a roomy steam shower. The king guestroom on this second floor has a private bathroom while the two queen bedrooms share a bathroom. These three bedrooms also have smart TVs. The massive fifth bedroom is in the room over the garage (or the “FROG”) and is a perfect spot for kids. It can sleep up to four in one king bed, one twin bed, and another twin daybed and has a small sitting area with smart TV. There is a Pottery Barn crib with breathable Newton mattress and a Stokke high-chair as well that guests may use.

While the inside is gorgeous, it’s the outdoor areas that really make this property so special. Seabrook Island Vehicle Fee Required: Beginning January 1, 2023, Seabrook Island will be requiring all rental guests to pay a $40 vehicle fee (one-time, per car) in order to receive a gate pass and be allowed to enter the Resort community. *Regarding Pool Heating: In the event of unseasonably freezing or cold weather, it is possible that pool heating may not be operable or available, as heating temperatures typically only reach 10-15 degrees higher than current outside temps and may still not be warm enough to enjoy.

The Lake House at Seabrook gives access to an outdoor pool, kiddie pool, and playground complimentary to all Seabrook guests. There is also an indoor heated pool, fitness center, fitness classes, and library (additional fees will apply to the activities you choose). The indoor pool and fitness center are an additional fee of $15/per person/per day.

The Club at Seabrook allows guests to access the two championship golf courses, Racquet Club, Equestrian Center, ocean front pools, and all dining options. Each property is individually owned and has different membership levels. This property has a FULL membership access so there is no fee for the Beach Club pools or Lake House outdoor pool. All other activities are an additional cost. ACCESS NOTE: These club access fees apply to 2024. If you are booking early, please note that club access options will be changing in 2025.

To access the club amenities, you must pick up or preorder your amenity card from the Seabrook amenity office. The card is a $15 refundable fee, and once the card is returned at the end of your stay, the fee is refunded. You can charge back to the amenity card, and it allows access to all of the Seabrook amenities.

All Sweetgrass rental properties include: bed linens, bath towels, access to washer/dryer, high-speed internet/WiFi, no-contact remote check-in process, and a one-day starter supply kit of necessities (ex. paper towel roll, toilet paper, one trash bag, one packet of detergents, single-use soaps, and a package of coffee).

Overall

As owners of a successful wedding venue, we understand how important reviews are. They can definitely provide future guests a glimpse into future expectations. This will be fairly lengthy. First - we were all adults - no children. 1) Overall, the property is in fair condition. Signs of wear and tear are evident, however not to the point which caused any of us angst. It's what happens to a rental property!! We've been there. We rate this one a 4 out of 5 on condition. 2) Strange items could be improved, i.e. could definitely use additional dish towels. However - kudos to the owners for providing lots of dishes, utensils, glassware, etc.! Bath towels were adequate. Couldn't find any beach towels so bring your own. This is not a biggie - just a comment. 3) Outdoor furniture was bountiful - thank you! We paid to have the pool heated and spent a lot of time in and around the pool. The basketball toys provided a lot of great laughs and fun! 4) Location of the house on the green was enjoyable as we became the gallery at times for some golfers. They seemed to enjoy it as well!! 5) Service from Sweetgrass was excellent! 6) On our rating scale - the basic question - would you stay here again? Answer - absolutely.

Overall

My family and I weren’t able to stay at this home due to a couple of issues with health conditions. I agree with the previous review that the house is in need of a general refresh and update before it’s rented. The staff at Sweetgrass handled our need for a different property promptly and with great care. They were absolutely WONDERFUL to work with from our original contact while looking at properties through making sure our needs were met with a replacement home. Andrea with the Seabrook office went above and beyond, including working with us on Sunday when we arrived and walking us through every step until she handed us off to Paige in the Isle of Palms office as we relocated to a property in that part of the greater Charleston area. I always prefer to work with a local agency over VRBO or AirBnB, and it was exactly the right choice for us on our vacation. Thank you again, Sweetgrass, for being so SWEET to us!!!

Overall

Five stars goes to the team at Sweetgrass Vacation rentals. They were amazing to work with and communication top notch. We chose this 2482 High Hammock specifically for the private pool and it was so worth it! Cannot even express how nice it was to have our own pool for our vacation. The house is huge and great set up for multiple or large families. We were only a party of 4 and didn’t need all the space but again, it’s all about the pool! Screened sunroom was also so nice to have. The house could use some love as it was a little worn here and there. They definitely need a new washer and dryer (took forever to dry any size load). But nothing that tarnished the trip. One thing to mention is that the house also backs up to the golf course and they blow and mow daily at 7am. It’s like an excessively long street sweeper sound. But again, the pool is key. Finally, as far as construction noise goes, barely noticed a thing.
