Centrally located on the scenic Isle of Palms just outside of historic Charleston, this beautiful 5-bedroom home on 22nd Avenue is the perfect place to enjoy a family beach vacation!  Having undergone a full renovation in Spring 2021, the home provides a modern, upgraded twist on the classic IOP beach house.  A few features that set this property apart from the rest are a private saltwater pool, basement hang-out area with added amenities like a ping pong and foosball table, and even a backyard putting green!  And perhaps the best part?  It is only one block to miles of pristine sandy beaches and the Atlantic Ocean, and it is within walking distance to local restaurants, retails shops and the grocery store!

Featuring contemporary furnishings, hardwood floors, neutral colors, and an abundance of windows, the main living and dining areas are located on the second floor of the home.  The comfortable living room allows for guests to relax after a day at the beach and watch TV on the large wall-mounted flat-screen. The large dining table has seating for 8 guests. The updated kitchen has new appliances, granite countertops, and a breakfast bar area with 4 additional stools for entertaining and easy meals.  There is also a bright, open breakfast nook off the kitchen with a 4-person glass-top table.

Also on this main second level, you will find the spacious master suite (Bedroom #1).  It features a King bed, TV, and a custom designed bathroom with dual vanity and walk-in shower.  There are two other bedrooms located on this floor of the home.  The second bedroom (Bedroom #2) has a Queen bed, and the third bedroom (Bedroom #3) has two sets of Bunk Beds.  These two rooms will use the shared hallway bathroom with dual vanity and walk-in shower.

Rounding out this level of the home is sun-room area with large TV and sectional couch.  And for convenience, there is a half-bath and laundry room on this level as well.

Moving downstairs to the first floor, or basement level, guests can enjoy the large entertainment room, which provides hours of fun!  It features a wet bar, second refrigerator, a foosball table, a ping pong table, and a large, leather sectional sofa and wall-mounted TV.

The two final bedrooms are located on this lower level.  These bedrooms (Bedroom #4 and Bedroom #5) each have one Queen bed, and they have access to the shared downstairs bathroom with tub/shower combo.

Head outside for some real excitement!  The backyard area features a large private saltwater pool, lounge chairs, gas grill, oyster shucking table, outdoor dining table under the covered patio, and even a putting green.

And let’s not forget, the Isle of Palms is only a 20-25 minute drive from the gorgeous city of Charleston, home to some of the country’s best restaurants and unique historic sites!

4-22nd Ave is a nice home with good amenities and is close to everything, perfect location. House was clean and has everything you need while you’re away. I will add this home could use a little TLC. The lower front door has to be slammed closed, many doors in the home get stuck and have to be slammed shut or a good bit of force to open. The one bedroom door on the lower level didn’t latch or lock. The dryer door was another door that needed force to close. Outside pool area was decent but could benefit from a good spring cleaning day. A day of elbow grease and maintenance would make this the perfect place.

this place was perfect! we had a group of 12 girls and all fit beyond comfortably. It was an easy walk to the beach and we even could walk to the little cluster of bars. outdoor area was beautiful and perfect! we had the best time.

Everything with the rental went very well. Conversations with your staff the day of starting the rental were helpful. Only complaint would be the gas grill. It is old, the grates are rusted, and the heating elements have too many cold/hot spots. For the price of the rental we expected a much better and usable grill.

This place was very clean and updated wonderful stay and very accommodating to all needs. I would recommend this house to all of my friends and family. great pool and backyard space and awesome game room. I will try and book this property everytime I'm done in Isle of palms.

Really appreciated the sunroom off the kids' room. Gave the kids a place to go in the morning and hang out while we got coffee going and got ready for the day. Super short walk to the beach even while lugging a tent, wagon full of toys, an infant and a toddler! The pool was great for the kids in the evening after a long day at the beach. Very close to several types of restaurants, including a French owned restauran5t that provided us with fresh coffee and breakfast each morning.

Sweetgrass properties came to our rescue when a different property management company put us in a difficult situation 24 hours before our arrival. On very short notice they had us set up at 4 22nd in the Isle of Palms. The house was very clean, beautiful, and well equipped with anything that we needed. The pool was big and clean, and we loved the entire backyard area. We didn’t experience any issues during our stay, but we did reach out one time with a question and we quickly received a response. The house was located about a 2 minute walk from the beach access and a 2 minute drive from grocery stores. I would highly recommend this house to anyone wanting to visit the Isle of Palms.

We really enjoyed our stay at this house. It was clean, convenient to the beach, and loaded with activities inside and out to occupy 4 families with kids ages ranging from 5 to 18. The pool is maintained very nicely. You still have to do some daily cleaning with the net, but that's nature and no fault to the house. We all fit comfortably. I also loved that the kids had their own little living room. Allowed a little bit of snooze time for the adults. We haven't had the opportunity to spend this much time with our family in a long time. We have several family members who work in healthcare, so quarantines and precautions are taken seriously. This made up for all the lonely holidays we missed together! Sweetgrass Properties is also very convenient, customer friendly, and easy to work with! We would stay with them again anytime! Lastly, it was my first time in Isle of Palms, and I'm in love with the island! It's gorgeous and one of the cleanest islands we have visited in several years!

This home was perfect for our family vacation. Very comfortable, more spacious than we expected from the pictures, great location. The company responded very quickly to any communication, and even called after we left to let us know they found my nephew's wallet. The pool is beautiful and well maintained. The beds are very comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Sweetgrass was very easy to work with!! The house is lovely and had everything we needed and more!! The location is an easy walk to the beach but not on the really busy part of the island so great for our family!! and the pool is a very nice end to a day at the beach. And no chlorine!!

We originally rented a house through VRBO that was not a SweetGrass property. About 24 hours before checking in we were informed that the property was not usable due to plumbing issues. SweetGrass was very responsive to confirming our last minute reservations and they would respond immediately to any maintenance issues that came up. Accommodations and linens were in excellent shape.
