Welcome to THE GREAT ESCAPE! Built in 2019, this incredible 6 bedroom Isle of Palms home is a 3400 square foot gem!  With two large living areas and spacious bedrooms that comfortable sleeps 12 guests, it's ideal for large groups or multiple families looking for their next Charleston beach getaway.  Spend your afternoons in lounging on the deck by the private pool or your evenings grilling, dining and enjoying time with family & friends on one of the numerous porches and patios.  Best of all, it's one of the best locations on the island.  Just a short 3 minute walk to the beach or an easy two block stroll over to the grocery store and local restaurants!

Bedrooms feature over-size closets and an abundance of drawer space. The kitchen is amazing and comes fully stocked with high quality appliances, a 6 burner gas range, custom quartz countertops and an abundance of cookware, dining, and glassware. Stainless steel appliances and beautiful quartz counters add to the cook's kitchen feel. An open kitchen adjoins the dining area that seats 10 guests for dinner. An expansive kitchen island adds 4 bar stools for an additional dining option.

The covered deck is accessible off the kitchen/dining area and features a long table seating up to 12 guests. You can also lounge on the outdoor sectional sofa that overlooks the backyard. The pool ranges from 3-5 ft deep and has 6 lounge chairs for relaxing in the sunshine. An enclosed, hot and cold water outdoor shower lets you rinse off the sand after coming back from the beach! BBQ cookouts are ready whenever you are! A gas grill and picnic table are conveniently located under the porch area just off the pool deck. *Note- the pool is covered from October 10th to March 4th each year and cannot be heated.*

There is parking for 2 cars under the house and an additional 4 cars can park in the driveway, for a total of 6 cars. The beach is located a 3-minute walk away, and Historic Charleston is a short 25 minutes drive from the house.

Additional fun can be had at the ping pong table in the garage. A Rolls Royce of Beach Buggies (large soft tires for sand) is also provided by the owner which includes 8 beach chairs and 2 beach umbrellas and holds lots of stuff for renters to bring to the beach.

Minimum stays requirements vary for time of year. Must be 25 years or older to rent.

Elevator service is provided with a modern gateless door that services all 3 levels from ground to the 2nd floor. Exterior access buttons are placed high to protect small children from accessing the elevator cab. House exceeds all safety standards for rental homes.

There are TVs located in the living room areas which are Smart TVs with streaming access (no cable).

Loved the house and the bedrooms. Great for family of 12 adults and 2 kids. Great to have elevator to bring in luggage but big enough if someone needed to use it. Kitchen was well stocked and freezer had ice maker which was nice. Large island allowed for plenty of counter space for meal prep and eating. Dining room table large with lots of seating. beds comfortable with lots of pillows. Living room on main floor with lots of seating. 2nd floor living room good and used by young adults at night. Bathrooms all spacious and loved large showers. Washer and dryer on 2nd floor worked well. Main floor deck was nice to relax at with a fan. Enjoyed meals there too at the large table. Loved gate at main floor deck to keep kids from falling or heading to pool on their own. Loved pool and all of the lounge chairs. Had pool floats available too. Backyard spacious and scenic. Garage was huge. Lacked lighting that we could find to turn on so playing corn hole or ping pong hard to do once sun set. Beach chairs was a great add. We did not pull the cart but took chairs to ocean on golf cart. Wished golf cart had a light on it to drive at sun set. WS great to have though. Driveway was good size and we utilized that and garages for cars. Front porch nice to watch traffic or when that was minimal, to enjoy sunrise and just relax. Suggest to use Harris Teeter back over the bridge upon arrival as the one on IOP down the street was always busy and seemed smaller than one near Target. Beach was great and just a short walk. Would have loved TVs in each bedroom but was t a huge issue. Would definitely rent again.

We had a wonderful relaxing spring break!! It being St. Patrick's Day weekend made it more memorable. The house was very comfortable, beautiful, and the perfect size for our girls to spend sister time together. Thank you for letting us stay there!

What a find on the IOP! This house was so close to the beach, the bars/restaurants, and the grocery store- you could walk there! The house was perfect for our group and we were able to spread out and enjoy the house. We loved our time here and will definitely be back. Sweetgrass answered all of my questions before arriving. The lockbox information was sent ahead of time making check in super easy. The house was clean, beds comfortable, and overall was a great trip to the area!

We absolutely loved our stay at The Great Escape on the Isle of Palms! Even though it was winter, we got some beautiful sunny weather. The home is just short walk to the beach so we enjoyed taking afternoon walks along the water in the sunshine. We also liked that the home is within walking distance to the grocery store and some great local restaurants! It makes enjoying the island so easy! The home was incredibly clean and the property manager responded quickly to any questions. We loved how spacious and comfortable the property was. You can really tell the owners take pride in their home! We can't wait to come again next year!

We had a wonderful time at this home. We were 10 - from age 3 - 80! Everyone was comfortable, and the home was well-equipped : kitchen had everything needed, 2 car garage (we didn't use, but the kids played there. Lots of room for everyone and a table that accommodated 10 for Thanksgiving. We had an internet/ tv problem the second night and someone came out the next morning to help us - all good. Sweetgrass is great!

Great Escape - Great Home! We had a great time with family. There were 10 of us; 6 adults and 4 children (17, 15, 6,& 3 yrs old). Would love to come back to this home with parents and grandparents. Very comfortable and what a convenient location. We had a wonderful vacation at the beach and on Isle of Palms. Thank you.

This home is beautifully decorated and most importantly, is very comfortable. Premium bedrooms and bathrooms. Coastal decor is very well done, upscale. Dining Room and Living Room both can sit 12 people comfortably. This house is very close/walkable to restaurants and to the only Supermarket on IOP - Harris Teeter and it’s location allows for easy access on or off of the Island. The house also has an open floor plan which makes it great for any size group. There are two living rooms with plenty of space for friends, family to gather. The beach is but a 5 minute walk. A special treat is that Homeowner provides a large Premium Beach Buggy loaded with 8 beach chairs and 2 umbrellas that also has space to haul whatever else we needed to carry back and forth to the beach (and at no additional cost!). I would definitely return to this beach house on my next family gathering on Isle of Palms. Comfort, luxury, convenience that’s why I’m giving this Review a 5 Star Rating.

This property was perfect for friends meeting up for a long weekend. We had 10 adults in our group and it felt super spacious. We loved that there were indoor and outdoor options that comfortably fit all of us together to hang out, eat and socialize. The location was great with coffee, groceries, restaurants, bars and the beach all a short walk away. Communication was super easy and the place was clean, well equipped and beautiful. The house on Isle of Palms was just perfect for our family. It is well appointed with a great kitchen, each bedroom with a bathroom, the pool outback is fabulous, a nice porch outback, as well as porches out front. The location is ideal. Two blocks from the beach. We rented a golf cart, which was nice to have as we went around the island. Highly recommend this property.
