Description

Welcome to this classically-coastal luxury home on Kiawah Island, with an emphasis on luxury. With three bedrooms, four and a half bathrooms, and almost five thousand square feet of living space. Surrounded by marsh and nature, this is the perfect island retreat. 

When you enter the home to the first floor, you'll be greeted by a grand foyer featuring a piano and seating area. Take a left from there and you'll find the first two bedrooms, both with queen beds and en-suite bathrooms, as well as the laundry area and powder room. To the right of the foyer is where the theater and media room resides, along with a full bathroom, a wet bar, and access to the screened porch and deck area. 

You'll find no detail spared on the second floor. Take the glass elevator up to find the luxurious living space with flat screen and wet bar, the gourmet kitchen fit for any chef, both formal and casual dining spaces, and a study. All designed with comfort and convenience in mind for our guests. The large windows offer panoramic marsh views, or enjoy them from the deck outside. 

On the third and final level, the king primary suite. This room features any luxury you could imagine - a reading nook, sprawling primary bathroom with soaking tub, rain shower, and TV, and an expansive walk-in closet. Not to mention the private deck where our iconic sunsets can be enjoyed. 

Looking to get outside? There is no shortage of things to do nearby. Just a stone's throw to our stunning beaches, golf courses, walking trails, tennis courts, and local parks. A vacation with us is sure to combine secluded luxury with outdoor adventure. We can't wait to host you!

We love 31 Salt Cedar as the house is located along the marsh with stunning sunsets and close to the ocean course. The house is well appointed and spacious for a family or group of 3-5. The Sweetgrass Team is also very responsive and attended to all our needs. Highly recommend this group as they have great homes and attentive Staff

31 Salt Cedar on Kiawah was an absolute delight to rent for the week. The house was in a perfect location to ride your bike to the beach. Traveling with children, safety is always one of our main concerns, and we had no worries staying here. The house itself was a showstopper! Beautiful and so clean! The master bath and shower were to die for! The kitchen was well stocked, the grill was clean and ready to use, and the media room was a blast to play video games in at night. There were so many extra touches, loads of outdoor seating, a piano, a large selection of books and games and TV’s in almost every room. They even have birdseed to fill the back deck feeder. We were able to see a large variety of birds come to feed while we were there. The house was very large, but also so cozy at the same time. The furniture was comfortable and well placed to entertain. Working with SweetGrass properties was exceptionally easy, and they took care of all of our needs, checking in on us during our stay to be sure everything was to our liking. Thank you for a wonderful, restful, peaceful vacation, full of sun, fun and delicious food! We will definitely be back!

The pros to the house are:Great location, easy to ride bikes or drive to beach. Amazing back deck view of salt marsh and sunrise and sunsets. Spacious house. Nice living room with TV and seating area. Quiet neighborhood. Good area for bike riding and bird watching. Bike ride to local BBQ restaurant which was great. Elevator was nice with glass walls to see thru. Nice kitchen and beds were comfy. Cons to the house :Way to much square feet for only 3 bedrooms. Lots of waisted space and pull out sofas that should have been beds/bedrooms instead. We love to grill but unfortunately the grill was in dire need of new grill plates or a cleaning. No grill tools too which was a bummer. Made it very difficult to make a meal. The Kureg maker was broken. The doorknob on bedroom closet was broken. Also no beach chairs or beach towels. Which you can’t pack if you fly.
