Located in the desirable East Beach neighborhood, this EXCEPTIONAL, newly renovated two-bedroom, two bath oceanfront condo is an ideal spot for a beach vacation and idyllic retreat on Kiawah Island.  Situated in the Windswept villas, it has direct ocean views from both balconies, and is just a short walk to the Sanctuary resort, Night Heron Park, and the Nature Center. For those looking to explore the Lowcountry, Kiawah Island is just a 45 minute drive to historic Charleston. 

This ELEVATED first-floor condo offers scenic views of the Atlantic Ocean and the nature that surrounds Kiawah. It welcomes all guests with thoughtfully designed modern and comfortable decor and furnishings. The spacious living room offers ample seating to relax and has immediate access to a large, covered sun porch with ocean views and an outdoor dining table for four guests.  The living room has been updated with a new comfortable chaise couch, new paint, and shiplap, and a new 65'' TV, that lets you take in the ocean view and watch a movie at the same time. The beautifully renovated kitchen with a modern backsplash opens to the dining and living areas, making it a fun spot to entertain and enjoy company.  There is ample cookware, and counter space to prepare meals be it for a small family meal or an elaborate thanksgiving or Christmas dinner. There are 4 bar stools at the extended kitchen counter for dining.

The master bedroom (Bedroom #1) features a king bed, flat-screen TV and access to the second balcony with chairs for lounging that is oceanfront.  This room has an upgraded, private bathroom with large standing shower and dual vanity.  The second bedroom (Bedroom #2) contains a king bed and a bathroom with bathtub/shower combination. Both bedrooms and bathrooms have been decorated with Serena and Lily wallpapers, fresh paint, wall mounted televisions, allowing every member of the party to enjoy their private space and unwind. A second private indoor patio space leads off the second bedroom, complete with patio table and chairs, that could be a play nook, place to put your feet up, indulge in a good book, play cards, and board games.

Another advantage to being on the elevated first floor, is the convenience of not having neighbors/guests downstairs, allowing guests with kids to play and romp with greater independence without the chances of creating nuisance to downstairs guests.

    Could be Great in the Future but Needs Maintenance Now

    We are very familiar with Kiawah and Windswept Villas, but this was our first time in 5103. The building is undergoing some renovations but still looks great. The unit was well situated with both a view of the ocean and only one flight of stairs enabling us to avoid the slow elevators. The interior was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Having two decks (one uncovered) was a real plus but avoid the third open space off the front bedroom. All of the above units feed their dryer vents into that space so it "snows" dryer lint on whatever is out there! Overall, it was a very good but not great rental. The issues we had were all maintenance related. Some missing trim pieces in the kitchen, bathroom bulbs not working, the main TV remote having the control buttons gouged out to make it inoperable were three examples. The largest issue was the covered deck door did not work. You could muscle it open about 18" to squeeze through but the outside handle had been broken off and only partially reattached so closing it behind you was very hard to do. Combined with the 5 larger chairs and a table crowding the space, it took this lovely feature out of service for us. We would stay here again if the covered deck issues were resolved and reviews indicated the maintenance was being kept current throughout the unit.

    The view was beautiful and the beach stunning! However the patio should have been cleaner and the sliding doors out were hard to get open and the handle almost came off. There was construction going on the building which is not the owners fault. I would rent again if these items were addressed.

    This was our second year to stay in 5103. We love the condo, feels like home. The view and comfortable space is awesome. Looking forward to next year. Paige at Sweetgrass is the best!!

    This was our 11th time vacationing on Kiawah and again we enjoyed it (except for the last two days of rain which we know you can't control!). Our condo unit was well stocked with kitchen utensils. One suggestion: we initially struggled trying to figure out how to use the two remotes on the tv. Finally figured it out. It would be better if you left SPECIFIC written instructions to guests on how to better utilize them.

    WS5103 is an upscale beachfront unit with a great ocean view and easy beach access. It was perfect for my wife and I. We would stay there again.

    The unit has the most beautiful View! We enjoyed sitting on the two porches and enjoying the ocean. We have reserved the unit for next year. Sweet grass is so easy to work with and responsive to all calls. Looking forward to next year!

    We enjoyed our stay at Windswept and loved the location on the property.Our unit worked out great for the three of us and would highly recommend this unit to others. The kitchen had everything we needed except a microwave, but it did have a convection oven that probably could be used, but didn't know how to work it.The building was very quiet and the parking lot always had spaces available.The unit was very spacious.Thank you for making our visit to Kiawah perfect!

    Better than good, very good! Marvelous living room and kitchen layout … well stocked kitchen … extremely clean and updated … no clutter … nice master bedroom … great shower … not really a complaint, but the bathroom associated with the second bedroom is small and awkward to maneuver in … two very nice balconies/decks with southeastern views of the ocean

    The unit was very clean. Neutral and conservative decorating (for an oceanfront condo, I'd probably go a little more vibrant). We loved sitting out on the balcony - a continuous breeze kept it so comfortable. Being on the first floor (it IS raised a level so it’s more like the second floor), the dune's growth hides the beach but you can see the ocean. The benefit of being close to the ground and dunes - we saw wildlife up close...deer, armadillo, beautiful birds. Kitchen was well-stocked; as a previous reviewer said, it even had a coffee grinder which we used. The only thing we noticed was missing were kitchen towels - dishcloths were provided but no towels. Oh, and our bartender (aka my husband :) noticed that there was not any kind of shotglass/measuring tool for liquor. 2 rolls of toilet paper per bathroom - enough for the week. One hairdryer in Master Bath. As for the unit itself, I wish architects would divide the bedrooms a little more equally - the master bedroom was large with a very large bathroom; the 2nd bedroom and bath in the back were a lot smaller and darker (again - vibrant "beachy" colors would help). That set-up is fine for a family with kids but when two couples rent the unit, one definitely gets a lesser room. We were surprised when an exterminator crew showed up midweek to spray the condo…we happened to be in the condo at that moment so asked them to wait till our week was over, which they did. We understand the need for that service…just wish it could be done in between tenants. Sweetgrass quickly and efficiently responded to questions/comments. We would have no hesitation using them again!

    We have stayed in this condo complex before and haven't always had the best of luck with cleanliness but this condo was a wonderful surprise!! It was a perfect location, lots of outdoor balcony space and its was very well thought out. We own vacation rentals of our own and realize the struggles with housekeeping and maintenance. Sweetgrass Properties gets our vote as the best on Kiawah so far!!!

    Great 2 bedroom on the ocean with ocean views. The elevated first floor villa has a great view of the ocean. Everything was spotless. The second bathroom is not as nice as the master bathroom, but since only one person was in that bedroom and bathroom, that worked. Water pressure was good, which is important to us. We didn’t use the kitchen much on our short trip. The freezer door is a little wonky, but we didn’t use the freezer much. The managing company was organized, we got our instructions which were clear, and overall, the trip was great. Would definitely stay here again, but I noticed that it’s already booked for next year.
