Description

This one-bedroom, one-bath recently renovated Mariners Watch villa is only 300 yards from the beach and has great nature and lagoon views off the large screened-in porch.

The unit has been refreshed with fresh paint, and a new master bed with a king size bed. There is a sofa sleeper in the living room, too. The open concept main living room, dining area and kitchen lead to the screened-in porch where you have a table and chairs to dine, relax, and enjoy the lagoon view. The kitchen is fully equipped, and there are two flat screen TV`s (one in the bedroom and one in the living room). The unit has a washer and dryer and wireless internet. It is also pet friendly!

Mariner`s Watch Villas are located in Kiawah`s East Beach, just across the street from Night Heron Park with basketball courts, a soccer field, playground, and Nature Center. The East Beach Tennis Facility is a short distance away as well as the Market at Town Center where you can get a quick bite to eat or a cup of coffee.

Kiawah Island is known for its natural beauty and extensive wildlife. It offers a multitude of family activities; riding bikes on the miles of bike paths, kayaking with dolphins on the river, crabbing and fishing from the dock, walking along the ten mile stretch of sandy beach, combing the shoreline for shells and other treasures, or just simply enjoying the island life. Of course, don't forget the 5 award winning golf courses.

    My daughter and I enjoyed the quiet and convenience of the house- great walking trails, close to the beach and a cafe and market near by if anything was needed. The condo was very clean having everything we needed for our stay. Enjoyed having our morning coffee watching the walkers and bicycle riders on the screened porch. Very convenient parking

    It's been a long time since I rented from Sweetgrass Properties. But this vacation on Kiawah Island was special. A massive oak tree fell on my house. The house is totaled. It was such a blessing that this vacation had been scheduled since June. I didn't do anything except get up for sunrise and sunset. Watched movies, and napped every afternoon. It was extremely relaxing.

    My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this unit. Everything was as described. Kitchen was adequately supplied with enough to cook a meal. The unit was very clean, warm and inviting. The best part was the view of the lagoon and easy access to the beach.The approach to this gated community was beautiful! I highly recommend this villa for their vacation.

    The location was so convenient and close to beach. The villa was quiet and peaceful and minutes from shopping and a number of good places to eat and shop. The bicycling was awesome!

    The unit was clean, comfortable, and within very close walking distance to the beach! Kiawah is such a lovely place -- this unit fits right in with the natural beauty of the island. Easy parking, and the apartment had all the amenities we needed. Thank you!

    Very clean comfortable condo for a couple. Steps to the beach on beautiful Kiawah Island. Sweetgrass was very responsive to our minor request regarding use of outside lock. We loved the wooded setting and proximity to the beach.

    Throughly enjoyed my stay at 4260 Mariners Watch. The condo was quaint and had all one would need. My fiance and I worked remotely for the majority of the week and had no issues with space or wifi. Additionally, the kitchenette is enough to utilize for simple meals. The close proximity to beach access is an added plus!

    These Mariner's Watch One-Bedrooms are perfect for two people who want a basic place to stay while enjoying the island activities. "Cozy", but comfortable, centrally located and, best of all, a very short walk to the beach. Comfortable bed and furnishings and a cute screened porch. To be fair, the vegetation blocks any view of the lagoon water, though the lagoon is just across the bike path below. Kitchen is well stocked with attractive dishes, glasses and eating utensils. The dishwasher worked fine, but the racks are hard to slide and the door is a bit difficult to shut. Sweetgrass was pleasant to deal with.

    We enjoyed our stay! The villa was lovely and had everything we needed. The location could not have been better. Our only critique was that one day during our stay we came home to maintenance workers in our unit doing a routine dryer vent cleaning. We understand maintenance needs to occur; however, it was unnerving to come back to our villa with strangers in it. A heads up that maintenance workers would be entering our villa.

    Like usual, we had an amazing time in Kiawah. First off I want to say that I do not understand the negative reviews for this place. We walked in and it smelled so good, music was playing and it was so clean! The bed was huge and comfortable and the beach was just a very short walk(even shorter bike ride) away. The location was perfect! We didn’t spend much time in the room(pretty much just to sleep and come back to change clothes or take a short nap) but we were very comfortable. The biggest complaint have would be that there wasn’t much space for us to put or groceries for the week, but we made it work. We would definitely stay here again.

    Location is awesome and is on the edge of most of the condo developments on Kiawah so the beaches are not as crowded in this area. The condo is in a good spot to hop on the bike trails and close to the park. The condo is always clean when we get there. Our only complaints are the dishwasher racks need to be replaced. They've been broken for years. It will drive you crazy if they get off track. Also the shower/tub could use some updating (it's a non functioning jacuzzi bath tub). We will be back!

    We come twice each year and stay at MW4260 b/c we can bring our dog. always enjoy the close proximity to the ocean and the amenities. We look forward to the next visit in October

    My wife, dog and I stayed here for 2 weeks in early February for a "workation". Overall, unit was in good condition and as advertised. Bed good, internet fast & stable (Xfinity), shower good. You can't easily tell from the photos but the entire wall opposite the kitchen area is glass which makes the main room feel very open and airy. We only had one issue (coffee maker died!) which Sweetgrass addressed. We cooked for ourselves most nights and the kitchen had all the essentials we needed. Wide sandy beach is only a 2 minute walk away. Nice that there was a lightweight vacuum for a quick cleanup as sand just follows you in no matter how hard you try to keep it out. We'd stay here again and would recommend.

    The location is superb. Short walk to the beach, park and the walking paths. Bike rest just outside the unit for the rented bikes, and then a quick ride to access the bike path or ramp to the ocean. Quiet neighborhood nestled in nature. The drive to Freshfield Village is not too far which worked great for us. Sweetgrass was terrific from reservation through check-out. Their "what to know before you go" and "what to know before you leave" documents were helpful and enabled us to be self-sufficient with access to the island and check-in / check-out of the unit. And they were quick to reply to an issue we had and responsive with handling it. The place itself is adequate - a bit dated but comfortable. The bathroom floor grout and jets in the tub are due for a good scrubbing, and the screens on the front door need to be power rinsed.

    Thank you for keeping this property in impeccable condition and maintaining its standards. 4260 Mariners Watch was well-appointed, fully equipped, and SO clean! The management company definitely takes their time inspecting and updating anything and everything. All linens, starters items, appliances were impeccable. They are also very friendly and responsive to inquiries. Made our experience very personal and memorable. Will definitely rent the villa again.
