Take part in Yoga on the Beach at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 7. The Hatha yoga session is a blend of slow to moderate pace vinyasa and longer held restorative poses. Participants can be a beginner to intermediate level. Take in the beauty of the beach while focusing on your breathing, calming your mind, and building your strength. Get a court at the Roy Barth Tennis Center, which offers 22 tennis courts including 10 Har-True clay courts. It’s a gorgeous setting, bordered by oleander, palmettos, and pampas grass. You can pay to play a match or book a lesson for your mom.
If mom plays golf, book a tee time at one of Kiawah Island’s five championship courses. They provide a challenge for any skill level - from the Ocean Course with unpredictable winds or Osprey Point that winds through maritime forests and saltwater marshes.
