Some other favorite activities include an oyster roast as Labor Day also kicks off the oyster season. Get a bushel of oysters to feed a party of five. Scrub and rinse the oysters before placing them on a grill on high heat. Arrange the oysters in a single layer on a metal sheet and cover them with a wet, clean towel. Close the grill lid and cook for 10 to 12 minutes or until the oysters open. Use tongs to transfer roasted oysters to a platter and serve with cocktail sauce and saltine crackers. Voila!
