A lot of activities are on hold for now, but there’s still plenty to do on the Carolina coast. In fact, fall is one of our favorite seasons with moderate temps that make it ideal for outdoor activities.

Play Golf in Charleston This Fall

Golf is a pastime that brings many visitors to our communities. It’s great for social distancing, as well as soaking up plenty of Vitamin D and getting exercise.

At Wild Dunes Resort, play a round on either the Links or Harbor golf courses, or both. Both are premier courses with challenging holes and stunning views.

On Seabrook Island, the Ocean Winds course directly on the Atlantic Ocean will test your game. There’s wind, old oaks, pine trees, waterways, and dunes that make for a great day of golf.

Then there’s the Ocean Course at Kiawah Island. Kiawah Island is home to some of the finest courses in the country for players of all skill levels and the Ocean Course is no exception. Players face the unpredictable ocean winds, lots of natural sand areas, and marsh crossings.

Another awesome fall activity on the South Carolina coast is horseback riding on the beach. Head to the Seabrook Island Equestrian Center for this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. There are guided trail rides and tours for beginner to advanced riders.

Of course, fall is also a great time to book a fishing charter. Kiawah Island Resorts has several excursions, from in-shore trips fishing the creeks and marshes to offshore reef charters. Barrier Island and Isle of Palms fishing charters will also get you on the fish with experienced captains who know the local waters.
